EFL Introduction：
About our EFL English Class:
- The only English as First Language curriculum in Malaysia.
- Its uses Canadian, US, UK and Australian teaching methodology combined with Singapore curriculum
- Currently Malaysian curriculum and ESOL programme are second language standards curriculum so it is easier than EFL curriculum
- So why study EFL when its so hard and struggle to pass our exams?
- Ans: It is believed that a child learning a language as first language from the age of 5 to 12 years is the ideal age range where they can learn the best and master a language, else after the age 12 students will only able to master a language as a second language learner only.
- This EFL programme rotates different 4 skills (Writing, Speaking, Listening and Reading) on a weekly basis.
- Our internal EFL exams are moderated by TESOL Training Centre Canada, so the exams are difficult and will take the child around 1 to 2 years to start passing our exams. So there is no need to worry as since its difficult then the local schools English syllabus, you will find them still doing well in their school English Results.
- It takes an average student around 2 years to obtain a pass for the EFL exams with good attendance and proper understanding. So parents would require some patients to see results when the child is learning English as First Language.
- Our Exams format for mid-year focuses on 2 skills minimum and for the final year focuses on all 4 skills so the scoring may fluctuate or drop for the final exams as its more difficult and covers more skills and topics.
- All teachers teaching EFL curriculum are TESOL trained means they have an English Teaching Cert from UK or Singapore. Even our relief teachers needs to be trained as well else they would not be allowed to teach.
- We are the only syllabus in Malaysia that is robust enough to caters for your child in taking many exams. One syllabus covers all standards of exams and this is possible because as its First Language standard.
